Marilyn Bean (b. 1989) is a contemporary abstract painter. She primarily works with acrylics on canvas.
Marilyn’s work explores concepts of the self. She's interested in presence, balance, performance, tension, fragmentation, and the relationship between fluidity and containment.
Marilyn holds a double Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Gender Studies. She studied metalsmithing at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and is a self-taught painter.
